The Colours Green is an exhibition inspired by a quote by author J. R. R. Tolkien: 'For still there are so many things that I have never seen: in every wood in every spring there is a different green' (The Fellowship of the Ring).

As Australia emerges from winter their landscape changes to the freshness of spring and the colour green. The Colours Green is an exhibition featuring objects, artworks and photographs from the Port Macquarie Museum collection.

The Port Macquarie Museum collection comprises over 20,000 objects and artworks, and over 50,000 photographs.
