Wauchope Bonsai Workshop Group
Wauchope Bonsai Workshop Group meets the second Saturday in the month commencing at 10am and going until around 2pm.
The meeting commences with a discussion of the display trees, followed by a presentation. The remainder of the meeting is workshop time for members to work on their own trees and a separate one-hour session for beginners to learn the basics of bonsai.
Visitors are most welcome to drop into the meetings. The group is an excellent way to learn how to create your own, or to care for the bonsai you already have.
Planet X Port Macquarie All Age Disco Fever
Planet X is the premium indoor skate facility and activity centre on the north coast of New South Wales located in Port Macquarie.
Saturdays serve up that weekend mix of fun, party and friends at the Saturday evening roller disco. Coastal Inspirations Exhibition
Coastal Inspirations celebrates the artistic talents of two groups from the Port Macquarie Art & Craft Centre (PMACC); the Art group and the Pottery group.
Both the potters and the artists, surrounded by our idyllic coastline and mountainous backdrop, draw constant inspiration from this natural environment. Some directly depict the local landscape and people, whilst others purely celebrate their artistry amongst them.
The exhibition consists of a selection of the potters’ hand-built and wheel-thrown pottery producing functional and sculptural ceramics, and the artists’ portraiture, plein air sketching and painting. Through their work, both groups celebrate life to its fullest in a creative and harmonising community at the PMACC.
Dark Alley Sessions - SCUFFS
Dark Alley Sessions is an online live music series, showcasing talented musicians and artists from the unique and inspiring Dark Alley Collectables store in Port Macquarie, NSW.
This months session features Port Macquarie Garage Pop band, SCUFFS!
Scuffs released their debut EP, "First Wave" in December 2020.
The band quickly gained momentum, due to their high energy, catchy, anthemic Garage Pop sound. It translates well to the big stage, as they have already played the opening slot of FOTSUN (Festival Of The Sun) and the little sibling version of the same festival "Back In the sun".
Several tracks from their "First Wave" EP debuted on Triple J's Home and Hosed.
SCUFFS are currently recording their debut ALBUM!
Dark Alley Sessions was born in the Covid-Era due to the lack of live concerts available on the Mid North Coast, and the real desire to hear new music and share the live experience once again.
Port Macquarie and the surrounding Mid North Coast has its own bustling music scene. Being a centre-point between Sydney and Brisbane, it has the potential to host and introduce any touring artists (when again possible), to the great number of musicians we have in the region.
