Port Mac's favourite event is returning on 1st-8th October. This year's format will be minus the usual street festival, however this year we introduce 'The Longest Footpath Gallery' in Port Mac, Wauchope & Laurieton, as well as Artist Markets, workshops, live artist exhibits and more.     Timbertown is a school holiday favourite. Not only is there a heritage steam train ride, you can take horse and cart rides, pan for gold, watch a traditional blacksmith in action, enjoy live entertainment and all the other fun Timbertown activities which will take you back to 'Ye Olden' times, showcasing Wauchope's heritage as a timber producing town.

    Port enjoys average temps of around 22-27 degrees in Spring, but if it's still too chilly for a swim, our beaches and coves are great places to wander, explore and play.  There are also plenty of whale sightings during winter so keep a look out! Check out our Local's Beach Guide here.

    You can also hire a BBQ boat and head up the river where you might be able to catch your supper. If you're feeling more energetic, hire a SUPJetski or Kayak. Head to Settlement Point or Dunbogan Boat Shed (which has it's own ice-cream shack) for heaps of on-water fun.
