  • Art Classes At The Seed
  • Get crafty with kids art classes 
    Kids will love interactive workshops at a variety of venues these holidays.  The Regional Art Gallery at the Glasshouse has their Sprouts Art Activities program on 17 and 24 April with 2 sessions at 10am and 3pm. Toddler Art Classes at the Seed is a Seedlings art program for children aged 3-5 and they interact with famous artworks and then create their own.

  • Look who's new at the Zoo 
    Head out and say hello to some very cute new residents and proud parents, Milo and Misty's pride is growing! Get up-close and personal with koalas, crocodiles, meerkats and snow leopards at award winning Billabong Zoo. Be part of the daily feeding frenzy and hourly animal talks, book a one-on-one encounter with some very special animals, enjoy the playground, picnic areas and Zoo Cafe. 

  • Glasshouse Dressing Room
  • Take a peek behind the curtain  
    Find out more about the magic of theatre and take a back of house tour of the  Glasshouse. This special opportunity is a must do for all those interested in performing arts.  Take to the main stage and look out to the auditorium and get an idea of what it is like to have over 600 people looking at you! Tour takes about an hour and bookings are essential.

  • Eureka Explorers Workshops  
    Calling all young budding scientists the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) Workshops will challenge you to think like a Biologist, do hands-on experiments, play fun simulation activity games, investigate how plants respire and explore a rainforest. Suitable for primary school years 3 - 6. Limited dates and sessions check website for more details.

  • Planet X Skating
  • Roller Skates, Disco and Skirmish 
    Can it get any more fun than that....well yes if you head to Planet X the Family Roller Skate and Activity Centre. Take to the state of the art skate floor and enjoy the thrill - skating for all abilities and most sessions have instructors on duty, laser tag skirmish, disco skating on Friday & Saturday nights, arcade games and so much more and its all under the one roof!

  • Koala Recouperating A The Koala Hospital
  • Meet our favourite locals 
    Easter Saturday the Koala Hospital will be celebrating its annual Open Day from 9am to 2pm.  There will be something for everyone; games, entertainment, food stalls, face painting and more.  This is one of the Hospitals major fund raisers entry is free but gold coin donation would be appreciated. Friendly volunteers will take you on a FREE guided tour every day at 3pm.  

  • Hello Koalas Sculpture Trail
  • Take the koala challenge 
    Find hand painted large scale koala sculptures on the Hello Koalas Sculpture Trail, taking you to interesting sites across Port Macquarie, from the hinterland to the sea. This trail is designed to generate a sense of fun and surprise for everyone as you uncover these hand painted sculptures.

  • Douglas Vale Historic Homes
  • More than just a night! 
    Douglas Vale Historic Homestead and Vineyard is the oldest Homestead and Vineyard in Port Macquarie and Friday 26th April they are opening for a night of Australian music told in poetry and song from 6:30 to 9:00pm. This is a ticketed event, prices and tickets are available at the Cellar Door so get in early as numbers are limited.

  • Our libraries are bursting with fun activities 
    There is so much creative fun happening at our libraries throughout the region these holidays.  From Book Character dress ups to creative classes on up-cycling there is sure to be something to interest the children from babies to primary age. Take a look at the Kid's Happenings Library list.

The family friendly wineries around Port Macquarie have something for everyone. Sit back and relax as you sample a local drop while the kids are entertained with interactive art, a massive hedge maze or horse riding.
