Camping under the stars

A local and visitor favourite is Diamond Head Camp Ground, this beach side campground has excellent camping and picnic facilities.  It has sites for motorhomes, caravans, camper vans, camper trailers and tents.  There are gas barbecues, picnic shelters and outdoor showers right next to the beach.  Park entry fees and camping fees are applicable check their website for more details.

If you're after more of an escape off the beaten track in our state forests then put Mount Boss State Forest into your GPS!  Enjoy the serenity of Cobrabald-Wild Bull recreation area where you will find BBQ facilities, toilets and the perfect deep waterhole for a summer dip - also home to some catfish! Just a short drive from Wauchope it's a lovely secluded spot for couples or small groups.

Swans Crossing in Kerewong State Forest is a popular picnic and camping area for families, with all the necessary facilities set on a former dairy/beef property owned by the Swan family, just a 20 minute drive from Kew. Surrounded by regenerated native forest and hardwood plantations it's a lush backdrop to a beautiful expansive area. The nearby shallows of Upsalls Creek provide a cool, quiet swimming spot. The historical Longworth's Tramway Heritage Walk is only a short drive away, with connecting bushwalking trails offering even more for the nature lover.

What about a touch of glamping
