Port Macquarie, Camden Haven, Wauchope.

Take as long (or as little) as you like. These stops are in no particular order, although we've tried to group them according to their location. So, pick your tasty targets, make a plan, and take a designated driver!


Stop 1 on the map is local favourite, The Burger Rebellion. Because you need to have a meal before you taste the brews, right? In the heart of town, this burger joint raises the humble burger to an artform, and has local beers on tap as well. And don't get us started on the loaded fries (side note: stretchy pants recommended)...

A short 5-7 minute drive from town to our industrial estate, you'll find three award-winning craft breweries on our map.

Stop 2 on the map is The Black Duck Brewery, for serious craft beer lovers (and more casual acquaintances). You'll often find owner and brewer extraordinaire, Al Owen, behind the bar serving up the eight beers on tap, contemplating his next delicious beer recipe. Open Wed-Sat and known for a great Friday night with live music and food.

Stop 3 on the map is another hidden gem situated in our industrial estate (a short 5 minute drive from town) - Moorebeer Brewery. Bring the crew and enjoy some of Port's finest craft brews with 10 taps pouring. Grab a tasting paddle or enjoy a schooner, cider, wine, spirit or cocktail! The awesome team from Char Bar catering will be serving up their delicious, innovative street food (think slow cooker sliders etc). Open Fri/Sat/Sun from midday, often with live musicians.

Also in the industrial estate, you'll find Stop 4, international award-winning brewer Wicked Elf Beer. Their newly fitted out tap room & beer garden is now serving insanely good food as well, thanks to the team from Botanic. Ciders, wines etc also available. AND WHILE YOU'RE IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD... The industrial area houses some other gems, such as 'The Other Chef', who produce award winning jams, relishes, sauces, pickles & other essential condiments using locally grown ingredients. Take a delicious slice of Port Macquarie home with you! Plus you'll be scoring some serious points at your next BBQ.

ALSO…If you're needing a stretch of the arms and legs (and the belly) by this stage, 'swing by' Port Macquarie Driving Range & Mini Golf- about an 8 minute drive away, just off the Oxley Highway. Great fun for groups (and competitive-types)!

Stop 5. Drive about 10-15 mins west of Port's CBD along the Oxley Highway to the new Sovereign Hills shopping precinct, and you'll be rewarded with Brooklyn's Burger Bar. Think New York-style diner with a twist, and mouth-watering burgers and an impressive drinks list. Fully licensed, open 7 days.

AND YOU 'RE SUPER CLOSE TO Billabong Zoo, so it'd be a darn shame to miss it! This family-owned zoo is a real treat for all ages with over 80 species, Zoo-keeper talks and a Koala-breeding facility. It's a must visit whilst you're in the region. Or, for the wine lovers among you, head to nearby Cassegrain Wines. Their impressive cellar door is open 7 days.

We love a road trip, especially if it's got something tasty at the end of it! For Stop 6, head 30 minutes west, through the beautiful hinterland and past the town of Wauchope, to the tiny village of Beechwood. There you'll find the charming Beechwood Cafe and Bar. On your way to or from Beechwood, stop in at Wauchope for great shopping and cafes, and a wander along the beautiful riverfront.
