Wauchope has come a long way from its beginnings as ‘the timbertown’.  Now it's a thriving, rural township with funky fashion, gorgeous home-wares, modern cafes while still retaining its laid-back charm.

This is the place to experience a genuine, working rural town with friendly locals, all just 20 minutes drive from the CBD of Port Macquarie.  Wauchope has a strong and connected community happy to help you find your way around and it's a great base for exploring nearby World Heritage rainforest.

The town is set on the Hastings River, surrounded by farms and agriculture, and just a few minutes from the Pacific Highway turn-off. It is the gateway to the hinterland with over 40,000 hectares of National Parks and State Forests, one of NSW’s best kept secrets.
